Position Objective:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company. This position focuses on acquiring new clients, building strong commercial relationships, and promoting the company’s logistics services to increase the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and prospect new potential clients in the market.
- Generate and manage a list of qualified leads through various sources and prospecting methods.
- Conduct cold calls, client visits, and sales presentations to promote the company’s services.
- Commercial Relationship Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients.
- Understand client needs and requirements to offer customized solutions.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with new clients.
- Sales Process Management:
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed established sales objectives.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotes, and contracts.
- Follow and manage the complete sales cycle from client identification to business closure.
- Internal Coordination:
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure effective delivery of contracted services.
- Maintain constant communication with internal departments to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to marketing and product development teams based on market and client needs.
- Reporting and Follow-up:
- Maintain detailed records of sales activities and client progress in the CRM.
- Report regularly on sales metrics, performance, and market opportunities.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Commerce, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in the logistics or services sector.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales objectives.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of the market and trends in the logistics industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and sales software.
